Environment
Food manufacturing has an impact on the environment, and that’s why responsibility is built into our business. Our climate accounts follow the GHG Protocol, and we’re implementing ISO 14001 environmental management across our production sites. Since 2016, we’ve cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 56%, while waste, water and packaging are strictly mananaged in line with EU rules and regulations. Because it’s our responsibility.
People
No matter whether they’re in our adminstration offices, production sites or in our supply chain, people matter. We follow Orkla’s Code of Conduct, Sedex and EcoVadis standards to ensure fair working conditions. We won’t tolerate any form of abuse, which is why our grievance mechanism, Speak2Us, is open to all stakeholders, just as Orkla’s Whistleblower platform is available for inquiries. Our EHS program aims for zero workplace accidents with regular audits and training. Because it’s our responsibility.
Governance
We comply with CSRD reporting, Modern Slavery statements and Orkla’s Code of Conduct, as well as Animal Welfare, Human and Labour Rights, Food Safety and Quality, Palm Oil and Zero Deforestation. Our ESG reporting follows ESRS standards, and climate accounts comply with the GHG Protocol. From food safety standards to ethical business practices, transparency is built into our processes. Because it’s our responsibility.
Responsible sourcing and organics
EU aims for 25% organic farming and food consumption by 2030. Today, the EU average is 9%. As members of Organic Denmark, the leading organisation of interest in organic agriculture and food production in Denmark, we are determined to be part of the development. 25% of our export volume is organic, and we prioritize local raw materials like Danish oats and rapeseed, sourcing as close to home as possible. Because it’s our responsibility.
